BACON WRAPPED TATER TOTS

1 lb. maple bacon

1 bag shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup maple syrup

1 bag tater tots

1 ½ cups brown sugar

 

Cut the bacon strips in half. Place 1 heaping teaspoon of cheese in the center of the bacon and drizzle generously with maple syrup. Place a tater tot on top of the cheese and roll the bacon around the tot, jelly roll style. Roll the bacon ‘bite’ in brown sugar to coat well and place on a well-greased cooked sheet, seam side down. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until bacon is well cooked and tots are bubbly. Broil for 3 minutes until tops are crispy and caramelized (watch to make sure they don’t burn!)
