ALMOND JOY COOKIES

Ingredients

1, 14 ounce bag sweetened shredded coconut

1, 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk

1, 10 ounce bag semi-sweet chocolate chips (2 cups)

1 cup slivered almonds

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place all of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix until thoroughly combined.  Scoop 2-3 tablespoons of the mixture onto the baking sheet.   After you have filled the sheet, wet your fingers with water and lightly press each scoop together into small domes.

Bake for 12 minutes until golden brown.  Let cool for 10 minutes on the baking sheet and then move to wire racks to cool completely.  Store in an airtight container.

Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
