VIRAL DUMPLING LASAGNA
Ingredients
The Lasagna:
1 pound ground pork
2 cups coleslaw mix (or finely shredded cabbage)
½ cup scallions, chopped
3 large cloves garlic, chopped
2 teaspoons ginger, grated on a microplane or finely minced
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
½ teaspoon white pepper (or black in a pinch)
1 package wonton wrappers (with small bowl of water on side for dipping)
⅓ cup water
The Finishing Sauces and Garnish:
Soy sauce
Chili Crisp
Sesame oil
Chopped scallions
Black and white sesame seeds
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Coat a 8” x 10” or 9” x 9” baking dish with non-stick spray.
Combine all of the ‘lasagna’ ingredients, except the wonton wrappers and water, in a large bowl and massage everything together with your hands until well combined.
Place 8-12 dumpling wrappers, slightly overlapping, in the bottom of the baking dish, dipping each in water first to coat. Spread ⅓ of the pork mixture in an even layer over the wet wrappers. Repeat with another layer of wet wrappers followed by another layer of pork mixture. Repeat one more time and finish with a layer of the wrappers.
Tightly cover the pan with foil and bake for 30-40 minutes until the pork is completely cooked through (and temperature in the center is 160 degrees). The wrappers on top will be wrinkly and resemble steamed dumplings. Let rest for 10 minutes.
Drizzle the top with soy sauce, chili crisp, and a little bit of sesame oil. Garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds.
Cut into squares and DEVOUR!!
