TJ’S SWEET AND SALTY GRILLED CHICKEN PIZZA WITH GOAT CHEESE, BACON, DATES, AND MAPLE DRIZZLE

Ingredients

5 slices Trader Joe’s Uncured Apple Smoked Bacon

1 cup Trader Joe’s frozen Grilled Chicken Strips, thawed and rough chopped to bite size pieces

1 Trader Joe’s premade Pizza Crust (rectangular)

1, 5 ounce packages Trader Joe’s Chevre (Goat Cheese), softened to room temperature

¾ cup Trader Joe’s Organic Dried and Pitted Deglet Noor Dates, chopped

¼ teaspoon Trader Joe’s Organic Ground Black Pepper

¼ cup Trader Joe’s Organic Maple Syrup (Grade A)

1 ½ cups Trader Joe’s Organic Arugula Greens

3 teaspoons Trader Giotto’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil

¼ teaspoon Trader Joe’s Fine Crystals Sea Salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Cook the bacon slices in a large skillet over medium heat until just crisp.  Remove and chop into ½” pieces.  Set aside.  Add the chicken to the pan drippings and toss until they are lightly coated in the bacon fat.  Set the chicken aside with the chopped bacon.

Place the pizza crust on the prepared baking sheet and using a pastry brush lightly coat the  crust with more bacon fat from the pan drippings.

Spread the softened goat cheese over the crust in an even layer, leaving about ½” of exposed crust around the edges.  Spread the chicken and bacon evenly on top of the goat cheese, followed by the dates.  Season with the black pepper and drizzle with ¼ cup of the maple syrup.

Bake for 8-10 minutes until bubbly and lightly browned.  Place the pizza on a cutting board.

Toss the arugula with the olive oil and sea salt in a small bowl. Top the pizza with the arugula and drizzle the remaining ¼ cup of maple syrup over the top.  Cut into slices and DEVOUR!!
