MARTHA’S BRAN MUFFINS

Ingredients

1 cup flour

2 cups Kellogg’s All Bran Original Cereal

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

½ cup raisins

½ cup chopped walnuts

1 ¼ cups milk

¼ cup molasses

¼ cup honey

1 egg, beaten

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375.  Prepare a muffin tin with non-stick spray.

Combine the flour, cereal, baking soda, salt, raisins, and nuts in a large bowl and mix.  Add the milk, molasses, honey, and egg to the bowl and mix to combine.

Fill the muffin tins almost to the top with batter.  Bake for 20 minutes until a toothpick in the center comes out clean.

Eat warm with butter and a hot cup of tea!

One of my best friend’s mothers used to make these muffins when we were kids.  The recipe was her mother, Martha’s.  I get transported back 40 years every time I make these and the aroma fills my house.  They are so good and so good for you too!
