BACON CHEESEBURGER PIZZA PALOOZA

Ingredients

1 ¼ pounds ground beef (80/20)

1 large onion, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ cup parmesan cheese

⅓ cup Hellmann’s Classic Burger Sauce (plus more for garnish)

Pizza dough (about 1 pound either store bought or homemade recipe below)

2 tablespoon cornmeal

8 slices bacon, cooked to almost crisp and chopped (reserve bacon grease)

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

30 tater tots, defrosted

¼ cup dill pickles, chopped

½ cup tomatoes, chopped

½ cup iceberg lettuce, chopped

Hellmann’s Real Ketchup

Instructions

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.  Place pizza stone in the oven and let heat for at least 30 minutes.

Cook the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium high heat until the burger is cooked through, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks.  Season with the salt, pepper and garlic powder.   Stir in the parmesan cheese and Hellmann’s Classic Burger Sauce.  Set aside to cool slightly.

Shape the pizza dough into a 12-14” round.  Spread cornmeal on a pizza peel and arrange the dough on top.

Spread the meat mixture evenly over the dough leaving about 1” exposed around the edge to form a crust.  Brush the exposed ‘crust’ with the bacon grease.  Spread the chopped bacon evenly over the pizza followed by the cheese.  Place the tater tots evenly over the pizza pressing slightly to embed them in the cheese.

Slide the pizza onto the stone in the oven and bake for 20-30 minutes until the crust and tots are golden brown.  Remove from oven and sprinkle evenly with the pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce.  Squirt ribbons of the burger sauce and ketchup across the top of the pizza.

Cut into slices and devour!

I had the pleasure of hosting 18, 15-year old girls at my house for a sleepover (definitely more giggling than sleeping) last night.  My daughter requested that pizza be on the menu for dinner, so I thought, was a cool way to transform burger and fries!  Not so much as a piece of crust was left after they swarmed on the 2, 14” pies!!
